The customer is responsible to make their regular loan or lease payments during the 30 day non-retroactive elimination period and while the claim is under review. 


Once the 30 day non-retroactive elimination period has been satisfied, if/once the claim is approved, the claim benefit payment is paid directly to the lienholder.  


It is then the responsibility of the creditor to reimburse the customer for any payments made or to apply the payment directly to the loan/lease.
