A Pre-Existing Condition is any illness, disease, bodily injury, condition or symptom (regardless of whether or not a diagnosis has been made) for which a customer sought or received, or a prudent person would have sought or received. Medical advice or treatment within the Pre-Existing Condition (PEC) exclusion period (in months) as shown on the Insurance Enrolment, immediately preceding the effective date of insurance.

The Co-operators will not pay any insurance benefits or refund a customer’s Single Premium if their death, critical illness or total disability results directly or indirectly from, or is in anyway related to, a pre-existing condition.
